Scott was encouraged to take notes rather than 'cut and paste' information to ensure his project was in his own words whilst developing this valuable, lifelong skill.

Scott took a photo of his masterpiece and uploaded it into his PowerPoint slide show. He wrote a description of Boudicca, using adjectives, creating entertaining sentences, taking the reader’s enjoyment into account and meeting several of his writing targets along the way. A very productive hour long session and a very proud Scott!

Scott used the internet to research. He was given a list of sites, which had been checked for suitability for KS2 learners beforehand, ensuring safe internet practice.

After discussing various options for presenting his findings, Scott decided to use a combination of art and a PowerPoint Presentation.

Using watercolour paints, Scott drew and then painted what he thought the historical figure Boudicca would have looked like from his research and the descriptions he had read.
